Students applying for fall 2020 with a 3.0 grade point average or higher may choose to not submit SAT or ACT test scores during the application process for programs in Charlton College of Business, College of Visual & Performing Arts, or College of Arts & Sciences (Biology and Chemistry require test scores*). Applicants to the Colleges of Engineering* and Nursing & Health Sciences* require test scores.

Students should carefully consider whether their SAT/ACT scores reflect their overall academic performance in high school. Students with an SAT of 1020 or higher, or an ACT of 20 or higher, should submit their scores for additional scholarship consideration.

If students believe their scores are not indicative of their achievement and potential and do not support their candidacy for admission, they may wish to withhold their scores.

Yes. For fall 2020, all applicants to the College of Nursing & Health Sciences* (including Medical Laboratory Science), the College of Engineering*, Biology*, and Chemistry* are required to submit scores. Test scores are also required for all home-schooled and international applicants.

The decision to allow students the option of submitting standardized test scores within the undergraduate admissions process gives students the autonomy to decide what information they believe best represents their qualifications for admission to UMass Dartmouth.
